Accurate estimates enable you to plan your budget and schedule while giving us the necessary information to send the right size crew for the appropriate time required to complete a successful move. A good estimate will make your move less stressful. You will know what to expect on move day, the total cost, and the amount of time needed. Arthur Werner Moving & Storage, Inc. provides two kinds of estimates. Phone estimates and on-site estimates.

Phone estimates - Our experienced sales people can provide very accurate estimates on the phone. We then fax or email the estimate and guarantee it. Most customers are not sure what type of estimate they need for their move. Let our staff guide you through the process. When calling to inquire about local move, provide as much information as possible.

• Location - Type of home you are moving out of, whether it has an elevator or stairs, type of home you are moving into, how close the truck can approach the home, any restriction on size of truck. If from or to an apartment building, are there stairs from service area to street level?

• Packing - What kind of packing are movers performing for you, full service or just furniture? You will be asked what you are planning to move - boxes, furniture, items requiring special handing like pianos, chandeliers, custom made furniture that requires disassembly, etc.

• Insurance - Most customers have home owners or renters insurance. Most  policies will cover you during a move. Obtain this info from your insurance  company or broker. When are you planning to move? As a rule, the last  week of each month is busier than other times and requires additional notice. The more details you can provide, the more precise the estimate you receive will be.

On Site Estimates - Most negative move experiences are due to 2 factors that can easily be avoided. These are miscalculation of time and cost of the move. At Arthur Werner Moving & Storage, Inc., we make it a rule that if we are invited to bid on your move and perform an on-site estimate, we guarantee the price, the time, the weather, the even the traffic. It's simple, 24 hours after the survey you will receive a detailed proposal built specifically to your move. It will describe the services you requested and those you will receive. This proposal will include all the charges such as labor, packing supplies, insurance, and any other charges which may apply to your move. If it isn't stated in your proposal, then the charges don't exist. This proposal is guaranteed not to exceed for any reason - period.
